I purchased my 93 JC app 2 years ago the horn has never worked, so after having a baby and and alomost getting hit many times I wanted to fix it. After closer investigation my JC has been in a wreck and the horn never made it back on the vehicle. I have moderate knowledge on mechanical problems but 0 electrical. I purchased a double horn pack forn advanced auto but it came with the assumption that I know how to install it, and that all the electrical connections are still there, I even bought a button to attach it to because I dont know if I could figure out the push button on the stearing wheel. So, by starting from scratch how can I hook up this horn. Thanks

Horn
What's JC mean??
Horns are usually behind the front bumper, tucked up underneath..one on the left, one on the right. Might be to your advantage to get a Haynes manual, there are wiring diagrams....you might need a magnifyier to read them but they are there. There is a horn relay above the kick pad on the drivers side.. I've a manual but it's only for 89'and I wouldn't wanna give ya the wrong info.....

Re: No horn
Oh yeah...by the way the AMC and Chrysler designation for the Cherokee is XJ...
Use this link to find your 93 Factory Service manual: http://www.lunghd.com/Downloads_and_Links/Downloads.htm Just buy any aftermarket horn (12v.) and hook it to the relay. The factory manual show two, a high and a low is often used. |
