I had a bulb explode inside one of my 04's headlights. It clouded the reflector and lens a bit so the light output is noticeably dimmer. Does anyone know of any method cleaning the interior of a headlight? Is there any cleaning fluid that might work?

Re: Headlight interior cleaning
I used Windex. Poured in about half a cup, swished around. Dumped it out and shoved paper towels in to soak up the excess. Then used a hair drier to get the rest of the moisture.

If it is still under warranty, I would take it in and explain to them what happened. I would believe that this situation would be covered. Good Luck.

Re: Headlight interior cleaning
Depending on the age, you may be able to remove the front lens cover. On older vans, they fall off on their own due to brittle glue. It may take a little prying, or I've also heard gently warming it in a oven (very low temps) also will loosen the glue. Then you should be able to use a plastic polish available at autopart stores. It's made just for that, cleaning and polishing plastic lens assemblies.
