87 deville digital speedometer doesnt work

last night it stopped working it lights up but u cant see how fast u are going.it just stays at zero and if u put the car on the expressway the service now light comes on what should i check first is there a fuse somewhere i should check or speed sensor?

I cant help you out with your speedo problem,except to advise you to
be careful if you get a dealer to check it out, there first reaction will be
dollar signs dancing in their head, this stuff can get very expensive,get more than one opinion.They tend to throw parts at it till they luck out.
