Angry Dead Battery Every 3 Days

I Dont drive my caprice every day, but if I drive it, two or 3 days in a row it starts fine, but if I dont drive it for two or 3 days, the battery goes dead, it seems worse with the cold weather. the battery recharges fine and holds a charge for about 3 days if I dont start it.

The department that had the car told me that this has been an on going problem for about 1 1/2 years. they just thought that someone had left the equipment on. but after replacing 2 ALT and 4 batterys, they took the fuse out for the AM/FM Radio

The ALT, has been replaced twice, and has a brand new battery, they sugessted, I take the fuse out of the radio.

ANY SUGGESTIONS ?????

Re: Dead Battery Every 3 Days

You need to check your amp draw with key off at the pos battery terminal.
You will need a good volt/amp meter to perform the test.
If you have much amp draw start unpluging untill you find it.
Also make sure you battery and charging system is up to par. And all connections and grounds.

If it is the radio, then it looks like its time to get an aftermarket one.
