My truck won't start

I have a 1985 chevy s/10, 2.8l v-6. I stepped on the gas and it quit. I put a complete tuneup on it, put a module in distributor, had carb. rebuilt and it still won't start. Can you please help me? Thank you.

Re: My truck won't start

Welcome to AF Randy

Are you getting fuel?
Are you getting spark.

I've basicly got the same setup as you (less polution stuff), so if you can steer me in the write direction I might be able to look at mine and help you out.

Hi, Yes i've got good fuel to carb. I checked for spark be pulling wire off plugs and put another plug in wire and cranked engine. Most had good spark. A couple had a spark but engine cranked longer than i thought it should to get it to spark. Someone told me there is a computor but i can't find it. I've looked everywhere. Also, my buddy told me there is two modules in distributor. Is this true? I changed the flat one under rotor with two wires attached to it. Still won't start. I hope this helps you. Also checked volt. regulator. Had real good spark.
