My Z project is underway

OK well this thanksgiving weekend has been great! Not only did i find a girlfriend but i also began work on my 300zx!!! after getting the minor problems fixed with the car such as key stuck in ignition and the windsheild washer incident. i started my project, so far i put in a Alpine iva-d310 dvd/cd player flipscreen headunit in with some pretty decent speakers, i also put in the viper alarm with remote start and turbo timer.

everything turned out great!

this monday i am ordering the stillen high flow intake and the stillen ECU upgrade. so with them 2 and my borla exhaust i will have the "stage 3" kit,

any way hope everyone else has had a succesful and happy thanksgiving like i did.,

anybody got any suggestions as to what i should do next? im thinking PAINT JOB.

p.s. can some body send me the link to host pictures so i can post some of my car and install? thanks

steve

good to hear you've got it underway... paint jobs are expensive, but we'll see what kind of condition the paint's in once you get the pics up

Re: My Z project is underway

please please please tell me you have an automatic... b/c if you don't, than dissable the remote start... I had the exact same viper alarm in my car, and although the features on it are bitchin' cool, if you accidentally leave the car in gear and remote start it, you could put a hole through your garage door... or ever worse fuck up the car parked in front of you if you have it on the street.

dont put in gear

i had the same alarm on my manual eclipse gst and i had my boy put it so he bypassed the clutch issue, so i know that it is possible to have it safely put into a manual car, and another thing just get use to leaving ur car in neutral and ull be fine, unless ur parked on a hill or somthing and u want the grip to the floor....anyways just a thought

he shouldnt have a problem with that because he said he has a turbo timer on it so he will have to leave it in neutral anyways when he gets out of the car. it sounds like a good project, i think your next mod should be sway bars and subframe bushings. you will be amazed.

That's true, but in the alarm, you have to press a few buttons to turn on the turbo timer, so he may forget to do it one day, and leave his car in gear... that's all I'm saying

yea I know you can bypass all that stuff, but I just don't think it's a good idea... by the way, clifford's are the best alarms money can buy... my viper was nice, and had some nice stuff, but cliffords are better

Re: My Z project is underway

Dam I thought that was the case, Im guessing not many people upgrade the turbos then? i guess i just need to find my self a cherry picker or find a decent motor shop around me that will do it.
