Question question about problem areas with 95 Riv.

I'm looking at buying a 95' Riv with the supercharged 3800. Just wondering if there are any specific problems that these cars have that i should look for before buying this car. Thanx for the help.

They say the superchargers last 75-100k miles. My '95 s/c started going bad at 90k, and I just replaced it with a rebuilt - not easy, but doable. It had taken out the crank pully (balancer) by the time I broke down & fixed it. Got that done by a shop for about $400 total. Power steering pump is now due for replacement (growls at idle).

The transaxle is holding up, but has always made me nervous about keeping the car this long. This car will never approach the durability of my experience with Mercedes & Volvo, but is pretty cool looking & fast.
