2d scion

Hey. Its me again. This is my second attempt at the scion woody. I used a higher quality pencil (0.5mm) and the same graph paper. I think it is way better than my initial attempt. I used my tribal design in the wood work. Its crazy, I had music playing when I was doing the tribal and can see how my style changed as the music did. I did the front fender with the solo from Freebird. The bottom half of the wood was during the acoustic verson of Crossfade's "Cold." I can look at a section of the design and remember what song I was listening to...

Here it is. Remember, this is my second car drawing...ever.

Re: 2d scion

MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT!!! It's so much cleaner and more properly proportioned it's incredible. Great job for a 2D!

EDIT: Forgot the PS.

PS, I think it's time for you to work on rims now.

Re: 2d scion

I have a lot of trouble with wheels. I used the cap from my contact lense case for the wheel wells/tires so it would be a decent circle. http://img462.imageshack.us/img462/8...owheels6ap.jpg here's the scion with the wheels Photoshopped out. Can you give me an example as well as a few pointers? I figured:straight body-straight spokes. I had a problem matching the angles. Thanks

Re: 2d scion

and the fact that the wheels are like 28s and would be spinning off the crank shaft...

Re: 2d scion

...like I said. I used the cap for my contact lense case to draw the basic tire/wheels. Apparently you've never been to a minitruck show. Bodydropped s-10s on 24s look crazier than my scion and some even drove in

Re: 2d scion

Lol, just work on them by themself. Work on freehanding circles, or using improvised elipses, and work on making rims look symetrical. Once you've mastered them as they're own object, try them on another car. Like I said, imagine each part is it's own little drawing.

Nice. For some people, it's harder to draw 2D because when you make a small mistake, it really shows. In 3D you can mess up a little and call it as part of the perspective, lol...

Re: 2d scion

Lol, it's funny, but what Fish N' Chips says is true. The only thing I'd point out is the roof at the back, the line is a little more angled on the reference pic. Also, the top of the windshield is a bit iffy, but not bad for your second drawing.
