Turbo
ok i have an SVT and i am wondering if there is a turbo sys for it, if there is twin turbo that would be even better.
im just starting to mod my svt if there is an website that deals in mostly perfomance for the contour could you tell me? thx |

i drive my friends 3.0 SC that thing makes a shit load of power under 4k, puts his 97 Cobra to shame in the "seat of your pants test"

It makes power almost instantly and at 3,000 rpms its at about 274 wtq. Meanwhile, the Vortech is still putting along waiting to spool up. If somebody made a roots style supercharger, then torque numbers would actually be comparable.

The Vortech can be fixed to make reliable, but out the door its more expensive than the ADC kit. Theres nothing wrong with that if you want a dyno queen and a dog until about 4,000 rpms. You want the guy to have a fun daily driver, and imho its a bad suggestion when the turbo kit is a better option. Read the complaints from the people from contour.org that have the Vortech. Its all there. Im not trying to tell him off, Im just posting hard facts and why my opinion is completely different.
