so i got pulled over last night....AGAIN

ok im really tired of cops finding and using every excuse to pull me over. Last night i got pulled over for my brake lights. Apparently the running lights work fine until i apply the brakes then my passenger brake light goes out. The driver side works fine. Is this some sort of short?? Bad wiring? Burnt bulb? any help will be apprietiated.

just get used to it. i must have got pulled over about 20 times since i've had my any of my 240s... they will do it, just cope with it. its all minor stuff with just warnings and etc. and the occasional ticket and/or loud exhaust. just pay it and move on, its the price you pay for having a car like this. i don't even get twitchy when i get pulled over anymore... kinda used to it.

sounds to me like the bulb is bad (it has a primary and secondary lighting condition). just replace it.

Yeah, it's the bulb. And cops here don't care about 240sx, unless it's riced out, they think it's an old guy having a midlife crisis. On my way back from Toronto, a few weeks ago, I must of flew by speed traps at like 140-150kmh (85-95ph) at least 4-5 times and they didn't even look at me, but I saw at least like 10 cars get pulled over on the way up there and more on the way back (4.5 hours each way). And what's funny is the OPP cops are supposed to be the worst ones in Canada for speeding tickets, especially on the 401 (highway I took to go there).

k thanks guys i didn't know if it was a bulb or a short. Cops hasseled me and said they felt sorry for me because i got shafted in buying this car. They told me "you should have bought a honda" i guess they dont understand the benifit of RWD

ive been pulled over for tail lights out and speeding a few time prob 2 for lights and 4 maybe 5 for speeding one i got a ticket for the tail light and i got one speeding ticket. ive never seen or head of anyone having to pop their hood i could see it happing in tampa maybe

a friend of mine got a ticket for having an exhaust that was too loud. I dont like cops, they are all a bunch of dicks (except for 1 cop i have met was actually pretty cool.)..
