No spark

My kid's 93 Sable crapped out on him in the middle of the street. I dragged it home and started checking things out. I appears that it may not be getting any spark. Is there a sequence for checking things out? If I can avoid dragging it to the shop that would be nice.

Ended up towing it to the shop. Gear in distrubtor is broken. $275 to fix.
