anyone know what may cause the brake pedal to pulsate when slowing once speed reaches 20 mph or less. Stopping is normal when above that speed. Once slowed to around 20, the pedal pulsates as if the abs is kicking in. Speed sensor, or maybe calipers not sliding properly?

Do you hear anything at the same time? Usually when the ABS activates it is audible. If there is no sound, I'd suspect out of true rotors. Have you had new tires put on lately? Have you checked the torque on the lug nuts?

Re: brake pedal pulsation abs 1990 fleetwood
no, it is not the rotors. it only does this below 20 mph. the pedal begins to pulsate like abs activation. I read a gm bulletin about this problem over the weekend. Said that possible cause is calipers not sliding freely due to rust in the bore for the pins. Need to replace rubber bushings, and hone out bore etc, worth a try. thanks
