Six Hour Project: Completed Tamiya SL500

I found this model today for $8.50 and wanted to see if I could finish it before I left for college (tomorrow). So here's how it came out.














I know it's not my best work, but I'm still happy. It looks really good from far away! Comments, etc.

6 hours! just enough for the paint to dry. And no time for admiring the body when it dries.

I looked at this early on, and forgot to reply.. I've seen this kit go on ebay for some real money. The AMG 500SL has sold in the UK for nearly £100 now..

i've got both the AMG and standard... I'm puzzled why you would build such a great model in such a short time.. The result is OK but time spent on this would produce a stunning model, instead of a model now completed but still gassing out.

It wasn't the AMG, and I really wanted something done. The Ferrari 360 Spyder CS I'm doing is giving me headaches... lots of custom work. Plus, it's a learning experience with white exteriors for the Mustang I just bought :-D

everyones already said it but ill say it again, great job for 6 hours, looks pretty clean o and pretty cheap kit aswell $8.50 i would of got it for that cheap too.
