will 6 3/4" speakers fit?

i have a 99 wrangler and want to upgrade the speakers i have in the stock sound bar. i last put in 5 1/4" but read somewhere that 6 1/2" will fit, maybe with some cutting? does anyone know if thats true or not? id like to put some polk db675 (6 3/4") but i dont know if they will fit. if they dont i think ill use polk db650(6 1/2") or db525(5 1/2"). ill definately be using polks though, mainly because they are marine certified(like the stock speakers) and their great reviews. thanks

They will fit -- the best cheap mod I've done to my '98. I didn't need to trim the hole, just drill a couple new holes for the mounting screws.
