The one that Modern Performance is a complete kit with a black and white photo installation manual. Installation should take between 8-10 hours of work, depending on you. I use to have one on another neon and I know quire a few people who have and they absolutely love them. With the Stage 1 or 2, you don't need to do anything else to your engine. The stock internals can hold the 5-7psi of boost. I would go with the Stage 2 and get the intercooler also.

to acheive around 325 horsepower what would I need to do in the motor and how much boost would I need to run? does valve springs help much?

That is a lofty goal...keep in mind, HP is great but you will need torque also to move the car. I would say you would need all the internals, rods, pistons, upgraded lifters and springs, port and polished intake, bigger TB, UDP, bigger exhaust, race cams and adjustable cam gears at around 10-15psi of boost. If that doens't get you there, then add a 50-75 shot of nitrous.

Its a project I dont want to go half assed I would rather go all out. Im tired of people trash talking neons. How much boost would be safe to run on a motor with all you mentioned?

Re: Hahn turbo kit

i redid the entire engine. from the bottom up. took alot of money, but if you have a goal, it shouldn't matter. right now i am running 22psi, and a 35 shot of nos. detonation factors are a bit higher, but you just gotta use it to your best knowledge. i also have a race block and head installed, but it is a SOHC....but, in order to achieve all this, you gotta do some major internal work. change out everything. no simple 'walk in the park'. but, it can be done. just watch your boost levels though...

If you want this car streetable, then I would say the most boost would be between 10-15psi. If you want all out drag, then 20+ and you should be good if you have all the internals upgraded. You might want to invest in some prothane motor mounts and some upgraded axles while you are at it.

I already got some inserts I got my car with a broken motor mount replaced and it broke that one.

I'd go with the JE Turbo pistons...DOHC 8.8:1...SOHC 9.2:1 Compression.

Eagle rods. This is the same engine you want to turbo and get 325HP right?
