The distributor part# 53006150 on my 92' Jeep Cherokee has been broke where you bolt it down. I want to know if I can use one out of a 96 cherokee 4.0 part#56027028 both look the same?

Ask your local salvage yard operator. They usually know what will fit what.

I went the dealer today they told my they are not interchable. This is what I did to make the broken one work. I went w/ my little brother to the salvage yard and we took a hold down for an adjustable distributor
and used it to hold down my broken one. will work until I have a little money to buuy an aftermarket one..... now I have to find out what kind to get aftermarket distributor and coil? any thoughts Quote:

Go to napa auto parts or any parts store and ask to run both years and see if they interchange. this is just a hall affect switch in dist. witch just tells computer when it is #1 or # 6 piston that is firing. or this is called a cam position sensor both the same thing. |
