intake, the best for honda is AEM, best exhaust i don't know but a Greddy is a good choice, and for headers get a 4-1 DC headers. it' still pointless in the end to fix up a d16y8.

it's not pointless boost ownz! But, it's header for one thing. Civics have inline 4-cyl. engines. Thus only one header. Check out the FAQ. It's there because this question is frequently asked. So, Frequently Asked Questions is a great place to find an answer!

you ask why. I don't how many of you ever race a EX before, but I know for a fact from many experience that no one running with a d16y8 can beat a person running with a d16y7. VTEC on a SOHC is not good as it is on DOHC. So running without VTEC on a SOHC is better than running with VTEC. Just my opinion, nothing base on facts about my VTEC theory, so please don't go all crazy on me because you disagree.

Seriously though, I've seen some crazy SOHC (VTEC inside - always) civics driving around that have power coming out the wazoo. They're not gonna flex on a viper anytime soon, but still. And I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who's seen these marvels of automotive get-up-and-go. |

Maybe I was wrong about Sohc VTEC, I think it comes down to the driver ability. I'm able to beat Integ, GSX, FC3S, and so on with my barely stock d16y7 running with only a intake and exhaust.
