CD installation '03 Impala
I'm wanting to install a factory double din AM/FM CD in my '03 Impala, replacing the cassette. What will work for me?
I'm being told that '99 to '02 will interchange and then '03-'05 will interchange. Anyone know before I order one??

You are correct, but they didn't make an imp in 99.

I know about theftlock, I was just unsure if the plugs were the same year to year. Thanks for all the info guys.

Re: CD installation '03 Impala
my bad, misread ur question...yes, mechanically the fit is perfect....electronically too...the difference that causes the theftlock problem is the VIN #'s...they don't match up after, i believe, 2003...thus the reprogramming. (the VIN in the PCM and the one stored in the Stereo's brain). Hope this helps.

If the previous owner of the radio didn't activate the Theftlock feature on the radio, it should be fine. Otherwise, I already have the unlocking codes at my disposal.
Thanks for your input tho.
