Swaping Rotors
Is it possible to buy rotors with a smaller bolt pattern and put them on a Trans Am? I just got my TA and realized that my 18" Mille Miglia Evo's that I had on my GTP would not fit on my TA. Is there anyway to make this work? Also do borla dual/dual round angle cut exhaust tips fit and or look good on a TA?

Re: Swaping Rotors
I wouldn't think there is any real safe way to make those rotors work.
The Borla tips fit....but aren't for me. I like the 3.5" slash tips on the T/A.

Re: Swaping Rotors
If you are trying to fit rims....good luck.
FWD rims to a RWD car normally won't fit. I am not that great when it comes to knowing what spacers will and will not work. I would recommend taking it to a tire shop and seeing if they have adaptors/spacers to make them fit. You have to remember....it isn't the rotor that determines the lug pattern. It is the wheel studs. Not sure what it would take to have that changed, or if it even possible.

To make a rotor with a smaller bolt pattern fit you have to drill, which changes the integrity of the rotor and can cause it to fail when you need it the most... extreme braking. You would have to drill them perfectly otherwise they wouldn't spin in a circle, more of an oblong shape like an egg. This would result in clearance issues with your calipers. Also, by drilling, you are removing material and strength from the rotor. It might work fine driving around town, but if you had to mash on the brakes at 100mph the rotor could possibly come apart, then you have chunks of hot rotor flying everywhere, including through the rim, strut, brake lines, body of the car, etc.
