I was looking through the forum listing and noticed that there wasn't a designated place to chat about Fairlane/Torinos. I myself own a '69 Torino GT with 428 CJ and Toploader 4 speed. I'm thinking about cloning it into a Cobra Torino by adding the appropriate Cobra badging for the car, while leaving the GT wheel caps.
I had a question/part request for it, and figured you Mustang enthusiasts might know something about these cars. I am looking for a brake proportioning valve (interchangable on the Mustangs) for a front-disc rear-drum brake car. I have been able to locate one in a local junkyard, but the owner wants $75 for it. Not only am I not sure if this one would work either, I'm also looking for something a little cheaper. My valve was leaking and had some busted O-rings and no shop around here can fix it. I had a company called American Power Brakes, in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, rebuild my brake booster, but they said they couldn't find this part for me, nor rebuild it. Does anyone know where I can find a proportioning valve for it, or have it rebuilt? And - could anyone answer my question about a Torino/Fairlane disussion board. I was just curious about that. |

Re: Where can I discuss Torinos?
Cool car, I really do like that year. I would google for another forum in your case.

Re: Where can I discuss Torinos?
The moderators of this forum can't add a Fairlane/Torino section? I mean, these cars exist. I don't see why not have one.
Yeah, they can be cool cars. My personal favorite is the 1970 Torino Cobra... that was one sweet car. |

Re: Where can I discuss Torinos?
yea i would definatly google a torino forum. there arent enough people that own fairlanes/torino's to make a section for it but there is a muscle car section and a ford muscle car section. that is the closest thing we have on this forum. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...lay.php?f=1178
