Did you ever get that problem with the engine light solved? I was wondering because I bought a 2001 used in Aug. from a friend. Kept a diary on the truck-spotless, never had any problems.

Just this week the heater button only works on high, the heat is fine, just doesn't work unless it is on high.

Then, yesterday the engine light came on.???? I hope you can tell me something about this.
thanks.

P0051-Upstream oxygen sensor heater circuit low(right cylinder bank)

Check the 02 sensor, possibly the upstream one. Upstream is before the catalytic converter, downstream is after it. Good luck.

Problem with your fan, Fan Resistor Pack.

Engine light came on, do the key trick to retreive the code. Key on off on off on off on, code should come up in where the odometer is. It will start off with a "P" then four numbers. after all the codes are displayed, it will let you know its finished. Then figure out what the code means and get it looked at for it. Then once you know what the problem is, erase the code. You can usually get a place like autozone scan for codes for free too, or erase them. Good luck.

Does anyone have a code key that lets you know what the code's are? Also how can you erase the code?

if you want to erase the codes disconect your battery for about 15 min. it may take longer, but i am 99% sure it is 15 min.

Re: 2001 durango engine light P0051

ok so i'm ready to tackle this project again- i inspected the sensors and am trying to figure out which one is bank 2 sensor 1
i located all 4 and they are labeled RF, RR, LF, LR
rightfront, right rear, left front, left rear
does anyone have access to the manual to tell me which one of these is bank 2 sensor 1 i'm guessing it's either RF or LF
thanks- j

Re: 2001 durango engine light P0051

I think it is the one on the right front that you want, that's before the mini-cat on the passenger side. I'm currently replacing the right rear (that's bank 2, sensor 2) for a code P0161. Now if I can only figure out how to get the connector apart...
