Re: Very first chop: Mazda RX-8

hey man welcome to AF!! i often have problems with not noing what else to do to my chops but i can give you some more things to do, lower(drop it on its ASS its screaming for it man), after lowering it make those rims bigger!, shave those fog lights, shave the mazda badge, take that spoiler off, some blue neons, that should make it better by the way nice for 1st chop better than mine was!

Re: Very first chop: Mazda RX-8

wow youve done a pretty good chop! rims look ALOT better u did a good job on all of the shavings, cf is not good doesnt look real at all, paint is oversaturated, if there was no cf and the paint wasnt oversaturated would pass as a real car!

Re: Very first chop: Mazda RX-8

your doing it right but when you have the pattern accross the whole screen on a different layer press ctrl+t and scale it down until it just overhangs all edges of the bonet then do the same as normal from there. that way the lines are smaller and closer.

You don't have to buy or illegally download photoshop, you can just use their 30 day trial of the program on adobe's website but you have to register a free account.Oh and what do you guys think of my sig, I made the background and the ice effect on the text myself by experimenting with different filters.

Thumbs up

I would say that you have three other problems. (1)the vent in the door is either too far away from the wheel well or the 3rd door needs to be taken off. If you just removed the door seam and made it a two door instead of a four door then it would be believeable to put a vent right there. (2) The wire mesh stuff looks fake. Make the weave smaller on the mesh. (3) smooth out the roof by blending the blur into the roof a little better. Then I would mask off the roof line and blend some white at the top of the roofline to show that reflection of the edge. Other than that, it is great. (and I know that sounds like a lot, but I am truly telling you constructively, not to be mean.) I love the color, it looks very realistic. And the background, especially in the grass above where the wind deflector was and the spoiler was, looks great. Keep up the good work, I'd love to see it with that stuff fixed. Just for an extra challenge, see if you can shave that door handle without making it apparent in the reflection.

[edited:] One other thing, does the driver's side doorjamb (the seam) not line up by that little vent you put in? That should probably be fixed too. But, don't get discouraged man, its all in the details, and you can fix it. Keep up the good work.

Yeah, I know, I just posted my first chop a few days ago. I wasn't just pointed out stuff that was wrong. If it seems that way I'm sorry. I think it looks really nice already. I was just trying to give him some more stuff to work on. I know I would want somebody to tell me what I could fix to make the chop look the best it could.
