Best Jetta 4 Making HP and TQ ?
I just totaled my Eclipse and now I'm looking for a Jetta. I'd love to get the TDI, but I've never heard of one much over 200hp and 300ft lbs... Which would be the best if I'm looking for something with some potential for hp? Which could most easily (cost effectively) be modified to make some decent hp? Any and all info would be helpful... feel free to direct me to other threads or pages! Thanks!!

Re: Best Jetta 4 Making HP and TQ ?
I'm thinking about a kinetics turbo kit. ...So I just answered my own question.
Feel free to still give some suggestions though.

Re: Re: Best Jetta 4 Making HP and TQ ?
The fastest build-up is the 1.8T, no doubt and you'll find few who will argue. The largest potential is the VR6 when you include supercharger kits and such. Anything else is budget, fuel economy, and other things based on what you personally feel.
I went for the VR6, and once in a while I'm jealous of my sister's fuel economy with her 1.8T, but still wouldn't trade. |
