2000 linconln air suspension problem
Hi
I've seen this problem posted a few times. I've replaced the compressor and it will pump up the rear if I manually suply power to the compressor. When I plug it into the harness it doesn't work. I've disconnected the level switch with the key in the on position and I hear the solenoids click. For some reason I don't have any power to the pump. It's probably the fuse but I don't have the owners manual. My friend drove it down here to Mexico and I think he should have left it in the suburbs. It doesn't seem suited for all of the "topes" - speed bumps. Thanks for any help, Dan |

Here was the solution to my problem: Here is a good page with some trouble shooting tips: http://autorepair.about.com/library/faqs/bl290i.htm The only problem was locating the relay - I found that on another board described as: "the compressor relay is underneath the RF fender between the bumper and the fender. It is a solid state relay with small aluminum cooling fins" I found the relay - behind the gril in the right front fender. Jumped it from post A to post B and the pump came right on. Replaced the relay and everything is fine. Hope this helps someone else, Dan |
