auto design school

What school would you consider a good high-end art school for auto design in the state? (Pls dont say Italdesign).
Anyone attended/knows anything about Caltech or Pasadena Art center? I am planning to transfer there, but any input about any other possible school? its quite competitive.

Re: auto design school

Thanks a lot! I have no design or car sketches or anything. I like to mess with my own car, and often comes up with a lot of ideas. I am considering to enter a short session in pasadena art center to build my portfolio,,,but ill keep in touch and post my stuff here soon

Re: auto design school

The Art Center of Design, in Pasadena, can't be beat. Over half the car designers in the Country have attended... I beleive that Ford and General Motors co-sponser the school. Tha's where I was headed until Viet Nam called me... It's still a dream for me... maybe a few classes - if possible. Good Luck. Robo

Re: auto design school

Well, if you truly want to become a transportation designer, you should immediately start sketching on your own. every day or night as often as possible. Of course you learn at school but it's always better to go there prepared.
