A/C compressor

Is it ok to take out the A/C compressor? I never use it and I think its making a really annoying rattling sound when I drive.

if you dont want ac on your car then you dont need it. little bit of a weight reduction with all the ac accessories

you need to get it pumped down....you could go to a Plumbing/Heating/AC place and they can do it for you.....if you don't, you'll have a plume of Freon gas. You can get into trouble for releasing it and if you get it around a flame, it turns into Phosgene gas and that is a nerve agent.......poison gas......

I would do it the right way....

i thought only r12 was dangerous and that r134 was safe ?

I think its R134. but yeah ill get it depressurized.
