Re: driving LIGHTS in lower valance

I've been toying with this idea myself but I haven't come up with a plan I really like. I'm curious to see what the others have to say..

Re: driving LIGHTS in lower valance

You would have to make some brackets that would bolt to your bumper. You could use the holes that are already there and even the bolts. The bolts hold the valance on.The hardest part would be to cut the holes in your valance.

Thanks - cutting the holes is my challenge - I don't want it to look ghetto.

fog lights were a factory option. i was toying with the idea of adding factory fogs to my truck. no one sells a replacement bumper for a blazer w/ factory fogs.

Re: driving LIGHTS in lower valance

I was thinking about installing a pair of Hella 6 3/4" lights down in the flat spot next to the tow hooks. My problem is how to cut the hole and triom it out without it looking like ass.

Re: driving LIGHTS in lower valance

Trim them out with a body saw, then if you are competent with body work you can fiberglass the edges around so it looks smooth, and just paint over it(a little expensive and time consuming, but end product will look great.) Another theroy is you could try trimming it out and cut flaps, then heat those flaps up with a heatgun and then bend them back so it looks curved(never attempted this but it sounds like it would work.) As I said before the most logical way would be fiberglass, I do a lot of body work so if you need any help just gimmie a shout. Peace-

Re: driving LIGHTS in lower valance

I was leaning torward your second thought. I figured mounting the lights flush to the valance would be really tough and making a short "tunnel" would be easier and make it look a little more factory.
