95 intrepid electrical

Help, please! I'm having the same problem as a post I saw in July. ABS light and airbag lights stay on, electronic heat and air are dead, windows don't work, and power steering is stiff. This started as a sporadic problem which would correct itself by re-starting the car, now won't come back at all. It was suggested on the previous post that it might be the ignition switch. Since the symptoms are identical I'm hoping it is a known problem. Has anyone had any experience with this? Any help would be appreciated.

NNOOOO!!! Not igination switch!!

I got you man!

I had this happen to me like a week ago. (1995 3.5L)

I guess you've checked the fuses...at least the ones marked. HOWEVER! The problem is not with those fuses... in the enigne bay, in the PDC fuse box. (By the curise servo) There is a bunch of relays and J type fuses...

In that box, there is a green fuse (40 amp) called IGN RUN. That is the fuse... that thing blew out on me... and took power windows, abs, heater, blower, radiator fans, and ac out.

4 bucks at autozone... should fik you right up. Check that fuse... I bet 20 bucks its the problem...

Thanks, I was hoping you were right. I checked that fuse with a continuity tester and it was good, as were all of the other ones in that fuse box. I wish that had been the problem. Anybody have any other ideas?

Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow. While I was checking the fuses yesterday I pulled all of the fuses and disconnected and reconnected the wiring harnesses that go to that fuse box. Nothing seemed loose or corroded, but everything came back and worked again for a while, then went out again this morning.

Re: 95 intrepid electrical

Thanks for the help. It turned out to be the ignition switch afterall. I replaced it and have hd no further problems. Cost was about $40.
