Thumbs down 99 Intrepid Starting Issues....

Hello,

I have been reading up here on the forum about this issue and I am finding out that it is a very common problem.

My issue is that sometimes my car will start and other times it will not. I just put a very good brand new battery in and did not fix the problem. When I go to start it, the radio and all dash lights come on, but just get a single click sound. Fans work, radio, lights, etc. I have noticed that if I turn off the heater and the radio, the car will start up. It also seems to have the worst problem at starting when it is cold or has sat overnight and not been turned on.

Any ideas....

Need help as getting ready to go home for Thanksgiving!!

Re: 99 Intrepid Starting Issues....

you could have a bad starter solenoid. If that's the case, you'll need to replace the entire starter.
