Tranny, PCM, Or something Else Failing??
Hows everyone doing.. Im new to this forum and I would like to see if someone could help me out a lil bit. I own a 1995 Chevy Caprice Classic with the small, 4.3 V8 motor in it, and when I take off from a red light I get a little shudder in low speeds. After 10 mph, it goes away. Also, when Im on the freeway going about 50 or so, I dont let my foot off the gas but the motor seems to shudder like it loses power and I have to let go of the gas and re-press it to get back power. Can someone please give me some sort of hint what this could be? Thanks.

Re: Tranny, PCM, Or something Else Failing??
If it is the tranny, my best guess would possibly be the torque converter clutch. Also I'm not too sure about how the timing is controlled or adjusted on newer cars, but if possible see if the timing is off.

Thanks, I was thinking something with the tranny. The timing on my car cannot be adjusted, its controlled by the PCM (computer of the car). I read somewhere it could be something with the computer, they were saying you have to re-flash the PCM, but I have no idea.

Try disconnecting the battery, leave it disconnected for a few minutes then hook it back up. This will reset the PCM.
