My mechanic told me that the rubber boots on my CV joints are worn,
and that i will need to replace them. BUT, he speculated that it may be more feasible to replace the ENTIRE AXLE, since it may be difficult/impossible to replace the rubber boots. Would that be necessary? I saw that "CV Boot Kits" could be purchased.. What is the way to go? -BW |

It is possible to replace the boot, but it most likely would only last a couple of months before it would need to be replaced again. although you might get lucky and it might work for a couple of years. It's a hit or miss situation.
