replace heater core 93 dakota
[color=orange]heater core[/COLOR I have read posted articles on changing a heater core on a 93 dodge dakota. Some people say you have to discharge the air conditioner and some say you don't. Can anyone tell me the right way to remove the heater core? Does the entire dash board have to be removed? Any help will be greatly appreciated. A disgusted home mechanic.

Re: replace heater core 93 dakota
yes you have to recover the freeon and yes you have to roll the complete dash back but do not remove it from vehicle remove the top screws and lower steering column and loosen pivot bolts at bottom of dash and roll top back you may have to pull bottom of dash out of slotted pivot bracket to remove heater box
