burning smell

Everytime i drive my 3000gt it produces a burning smell but i think it happens wheni turn on the heat. but after i turn it off for awhile it still makes the smell. what could this smell be. thanks

I have the same problem....haven't figured out what it is yet though. Linebcker said to try checking your valve cover gasket because it could be leaking oil. I cleaned my up and haven't rechecked yet... If you figure out what it is let me know and I'll do the same.

i figured out the problem for me it was a wire that was burning near the battery
