Hi all, i have just bought my first 1991 toyota celcia GT4 Turbo 4wd today, however i have noticed that i have a smell of petrol coming from the passenger side of the car at the rear, i spoke to my friend who is car fanatic and he says that its the breather pipe, as there is no fuel leaking from the petrol tank and i was wondering if there is a set breather pipe for this type of car.
i would be greatful for any advice that i get Cheers Scott |

Re: Petrol smell
breather pipe? lol either aussie or british im guessing
![]() most likely you have an exhasut leak or your running rich, that tends to happen, is it throwing codes? you should be doing this anyway whenver you buy your car so im going to reccomend it cuz you shoulda already done it, change the oil, replace all the ignition components, fuel filter air filter and al that junk then post back up if you still have the smell and check for exhuast leaks

Re: Petrol smell
means that your air/fuel mixture is a little off, rich = too much petrol.
