Remote key gone bad?

Hi, I have been having problems with my remote key. It doesn't work all the time. I have opened the casing, cleaned the battery contacts and even replaced the battery but none of these made any difference. I have also opearated the device without the plastic casing thinking it might be the plastic parts not making proper contact. None has made any difference. My question is: is the remote gone bad or is there something on the reciever side (the ES300) itself that could cause the problem. Thank you.

I would say your remote has passed on. You can get another one though.
