Question ranger won't start

My 00 Ranger was running really ruff, like starved for gas, I checked the lines and the fuel pump and they seem to be working fine, changed spark plug and wires because I had it apart and now it won't start at all the battery is good has full charge tries to turn over but seems like not getting gas or something. Can anyone suggest anything to help.

Yes all the wire's are back on, I rechecked theme, I try to start it and it don't get the extra, I can smell gas but it seems like it's not getting to the right place to turn it over.

Are you getting any pops from the exhaust? It seems to be getting fuel, it would most certainly have compression, last thing missing is spark. I'll bet the firing order got fudged. Did you change one wire at a time?

No Pop's, I replaced one wire at a time marking each as I took off. It won't just wont turn over, I took out the fuel injectors and cleaned what I could but it still won't turn over, It don't have the extra it needs.

Re: ranger won't start

make sure the plugs you put in are exactly the right type. ford had that waste spark or whateer that had the 2 ground strap plug or what have you and if not replaced with same kind will act up.

I replaced with Bosch platinum plug the exact same as the ones that came out of it. Did I mention that this truck has 160K miles on it? Does it matter?

So the starter is not turning the engine anymore? I am not sure if I understand what you mean by 'It don't have the extra it needs.'.... If the engine is turning over, but not starting up, look for what's missing... Is it fuel or spark? If you have both, and the engine is turning rough, I would recommend getting the engine to TDC and checking to make sure #1 wire is on the correct plug.
