Re: gas prices

$1.88 in kansas city... maybe I will be able to afford driving with my new engine after all... a hell of a lot better than the $3.05 I was paying for a while for 91-octane.

Re: gas prices

Man, you guys are lucky. It's gone down to 2.19 here in Jax, FL. It's been dropping about .10 every couple of days. But it's been steady at 2.19 for about a week now. Still alot better than the 3.xx it was before. So I'm not complaining.

Edit: 2.19 in regular that is.

But have any of you been watching the news? I caught a glance for a minute or two on CNN about the major gas companies getting in trouble for spiking up the gas prices after hurricane katrina hit. Apparantly there was no need for them to do so.. and thats when I got distracted. So, I'm guesssing the gas prices may be going down so dramitically due to this? Anyone else heard of this?

It's $1.91 around St. Louis now for reg. Its been going down now for the past 4 weeks straight, no jumps. Its crazy but I like it. But I still have to pay $2.11 for 93-octane, but not bad though compared to what it used to be.
