Well, thats always the 64,000 dollar question.
There are many explorers that do 200,000 miles (mostly highway miles), some more. Offroading is tougher on the car.
Maintenance is the key - 100,000 miles is a MAJOR service interval. You should flush your brake fluid, power steering fluid, change your differential fluid - front and rear, and don't forget to change your transfer case fluid. Do a cooling system flush if you haven't recently, check your radiator hoses and the little bypass hose next to the thermostat (at 100,000 miles they are getting tired). You are probably due for a new sepentinr belt.
If you haven't had to do ball joints yet, you will soon.
Oh, and with a rebuilt tranny change your tranny fluid every 3 years or 30,000 miles - treat rebuilts with more care than a new factory tranny.
If you do your maintenance you should be good for quite a while with a new tranny!
