I have a 93 honda prelude manual transmisson h22a engine. Just recently my clutch pedal has no resistance at all to it. one day its fine then litterally the next day I step on it it goes right in and stays in. I have to pull it out with my hand. the car still starts up when the clutch is in only like usual. plus you can't put it in gear either. with these symtoms what would you say the problem is. Is it a simple job that I can do myself or do you suggest a shop takes care of it.

check for leaks from the master cylinder all the way to the slave cylinder.

Re: Stuck clutch pedal
the fluid could be anything. just visually and physically check. just pop the hood and visually and physically check from master cylinder to the lines to the slave cylinder. if there are leaks there, just trace to the source.

get some light and roll up your sleeves! right now, the concern is on the clutch pedal losing pressure and not rising back up.

Don't forget to check the inside where the pushrod goes through the firewall, it can leak on that side too. If you didn't bleed the clutch after it ran that low, there's air in the system which is why it still sticks. Bleed it just like you'd bleed the brake system until the pedal feels better, it will feel better unless there is a huge leak.

It will be in plain sight, there might be a rubber boot that you should poke at to see if it has fluid in it. If the area by it looks wet, or like it has been wet, it's leaking.

my car wouldnt go into gear like that also ..and if your fluid is good and no air in the hydrolic system ..check the pedal itself because i had the top bolt pop out (i dont know how) but it cause me not to engage the clutch all the way because it was throwing the whole system off..

Re: Stuck clutch pedal
that sme thing happened to me about a week ago it was the slave cylinder $15 at advanced and i was on the road again. have you tested the master and the slave to see if the is pumping fluid and the slave is getting pressure?
