Hole in oil pan

I recently put a hole in my oil pan. After I hit it, I drove a few hundred feet before the light/buzzer went crazy, and then a few more hundred feet to a parking spot. I got it towed and there was a generous amount of oil under the car, so i had high hopes for the engine.

I patched the hole, but the engine does not sound good. No oil pressure i think. Oil light still blinks.

Any ideas...is this worth bringing to someone to check out....it seems as though anything internal is going to be big bucks. Any advice would be great.
