fuel pump question
I have an 87 trans am with the 305 4bbl, It has a mec fuel pump but when I shut the car off I could swear I hear a electric pump running in the tank
 . did this car have 2 pumps

pretty sure theres only one fuel pump... when you turnyour car to accessory you should hear the fuel pump pressurize. (keep the door open when you turn the key to hear it) is that the sound your hearing when the car is off?

I dont hear it when I turn the key, its only when I shut the car off. but yea It sounds exactly like a fuel pump pressurizing....

ummm usually the car dosnt start enless it pressurized...does it start and run? lol
