Lightbulb First Car Advice Please

Hello. This is another 16 year old asking for advice (not harsh criticism) about getting a first car.

Here are the facts:
Im getting the car for my 17 birthday present
Yes, I have some driving experience
My parents are paying of the car and insurance
I have a 3.4 GPA and I am hard worker
No I am not a spoiled kid looking for a 400HP death machine
My Dad did not give me a spending limit, BUT I'm no spoiled brat. I
would like to keep it under 12-15K
I am taking a year off after high school this year, so I will have time
to invest in my car
I prefer used, but if a new car gets the job done, then hey!
I am open to suggestions

I thought getting my first car would be a fun experience, but to be honest this process gets more stressful day by day. I need to give my dad and idea of what I want pretty soon. This is a list of cars I have compiled so far:

01 Teg GSR
94 or 97 240SX (i dont know which one is better)
99 Maxima
95 Impala SS
(This is a short list because I keep cutting it lol.)

Other cars I like, but are probably unreasonable are:

the new Charger SXT
03 G35 Coupe
the new F150 Quad FX4
02 330 Ci
and I know there are lot of 4 banger critics on AF but the new Civic
Si is an attractive car

I have one more factor to mention. I have a girlfriend and I want to get a car that she will feel special riding in. Thankyou for your time . I know I'm young so I apologize now ahead of time for anything ignorant I may have said. I know how it is dealing with younger car fans lol. I get questions all day from 13 year olds who saw fast and the furious like: "does nos make your car blow up". I guess we all have a fascination with these machines.

-Have a good day, Dre

Re: First Car Advice Please

Maxima, Impala, or G35.

Its tough finding a clean B-body SS these days and not feeling like you got ripped off though.

I would also like to add that I am 6-4, and I live in Phoenix (if any of those factors make a difference). Also: how does the E36 M3 sound?
I guess I have narrowed it down to

1995 Impala SS
E36 M3
1997 Teg GSR
1994 240SX
1999 Maxima
