Repair Center

There's not a Isuzu dealer close to my house, is the Honda dealer a good alternative?

You would just have to call them and ask. Dealers vary from location to location.

It looks like you meant to start your own thread but its on the drivers side over the exhaust pipe between the motor and transmission.

docksider, for warranty work, you will need an isuzu dealership. If you are the second owner of your 2002, you have 5yr/60000mi powertrain warranty remaining. You can get rodeo parts at a Honda stealership, but you have to 'say' it's a passport. No 1998+ passports were ever made with the 2.2L, so I'd skip a honda place all together.

thanks, did go to the Isuzu dealer. And yep, they said head gasket or cracked head. $2-3k. needless to say, i'm not having a good day. cost to replace the engine is about that, correct? don't think the truck is even worth that much money.

You don't have any warranty left on a 2002 ? 1998-2003 rodeo 2.2L cylinder heads can be had on eBay. The daewoo lanos or leganza (dont remember which) shares the exact same 2.2L engine. It should not cost more than $2K to have the cylinder head R/R'd. $2K is much cheaper than buying a new vehicle.
