Sounds odd. How about your thermostat? Is is stuck open such that the engine is running cooler than normal? If the coolant is constantly circulating through the system, it's not going to get hot enough to produce good heat inside the cabin. The other thing to check is your air box underneath the dash. Possibly the blend door is not going to full heat, letting in too much cool air. This would be an internal blend door problem (mechanical) or an actuator issue (electrical). Look underneath the dash and see if you can manually move the blend door to full heat (may have to remove the actuator to do this)...

Re: heat no heat

I worked on a 99 this weekend that did not have heat.

1. cut bypass hose and capped where cut at and clamped

2. flused heater core both directions at the core - no good

3. Took both heater hoses off at engine and flused heater core both directions - WORKS GOOD NOW
