2000 Accord Will NOt Start After JackUp
I just changed the read pads on my daughter's 200 Honda Accord. Now - it will not start. The starter engages and spins the motor - but it will not start and run.
I had the car jacked up pretty high in the rear and it was pointed on a downhill direction. Is there a safety sensor or something that could have been flipped? Thanks |

Re: 2000 Accord Will NOt Start After JackUp
Downhill pulls the fuel away from the pickup (they are designed to run out downhill, not up) so if it's low on fuel it might have broken suction from the pump and now it can't get the pump primed again.
There is no inertia switch on the Accord I'm aware of. Didn't crush a fuel line with a jackstand didja?

No pinched lines - we have checked spark - its ok. I hear the fuel pump and have gas at the relay. Pulled the plug and the plug was bone dry. Used a stethoscope to hear the injectors - was unable to..... but not sure if the stethoscope was working well.

Re: Re: 2000 Accord Will NOt Start After JackUp
OK - Recent check is that there is power at teh injectors, but it does not appear to be pulsing.... when I crank the motor and try to start it.
To check the injectors, we took a test light from the positive side of the battery to the injector wire. We cranked the motor and we could not see the test light flicker..................SO obviously the injectors are not working. Is there thing in particular that would cause the injectors to not fire? |

Going to terminate this post and start a new one dealing with injectors. Thanks Jeff for the info
UPDATE - It was the key !!!!! I had a spare key made at Home Depot that day and was using that instead of the original - the correct key has a chip in it - $130 +- Last edited by dangerous; 12-03-2005 at 12:45 PM. |
