1998 Windstar Power Window
Hi..I am a new member and I hope you can help...About a month ago the passenger power window switch would only work sometimes, but I was able to use the driver's control to operate the passenger windwo with no problem. Now, neither control will work the passenger window. I jumped the motor from the battery and the window went up. Which switch should I replace or is there a different problem? Thank you very much...Jeff

I would check to see if there is power to the switch. If there isn't power to the switch get a good wiring diagram and see where the power comes from. I had both motors go bad within a week of each other. I know you said that you were able to jump the motors and they worked. Just another angle to look at. Post back about power to the switch. Re: 1998 Windstar Power Window
replace the switch on the passenger side...this switch has gone bad. The switch on the drivers side goes through this switch to make the window open/close. That explains why you could operate it with the drivers side before the switch went totally out.
