turbo or SC for automatic
I have a 2000 3.0 V6 LX. I was wondering if adding performance would be a good thing for my car since it's an automatic drivetrain. I would like to get more kick when I floor it to pass these slow cars in the fast lane. I have done research on both items, but have not figured if my situation would be solved. Would I have to get a Ecu for a kit or can I get a new system for the stock engine. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Its quite costly but comptech makes a S/C for your car great kit really scoots well and your tranny will hold up.

Re: turbo or SC for automatic
I hope you have factor in the fact there is a great chance that the auto trans will start to slip and you will not get the full power potential of the turbo or sc. I seen a 2002 prelude sh with a drag turbo kit which was to make 270-320hp only made 220 because the trans start to slip.

Re: turbo or SC for automatic
autos do have clutches but they are in the tranny. honda autos dont hold up at all to boost. the clutch pack is not big enough to support alot of power. if you want your tranny to hold. take it to level ten and talk to them, maybe they can get your tranny to hold the power

I'd say that v6 tranny is sturdy enough. |

If you want to turbo an auto tranny honda, it' a good idea to build up the tranny first. As mentioned, check out Level 10.
There PTS (Performance Transmission Systems) kits come it different stages, which are good up to different HP levels. The parts themselves arn't bad priced, it's the labor that costs an arm and a leg. http://www.levelten.com/
