Unhappy noise in linkage NEED HELP!

i have a 92 mx3 and cant figure out how to get the stock shifter off so i can replace. please help

Re: replacing shifter

there is a spring holding it down. A Screwdriver will be able to pry it out.

There is alot of vibration in shifter and i want to replace with short throw any recomendations.

My shifter is loose and its hitting the exhaust pipe under it. How can I fix it, any imput please ?

You probably need a new linkage, but could probably glue or jam it so it stops doing this...
