New Tranny? Acceleration Problems...

Ok, I have a manual 92 GT w/ ~125K on it. I have virtually no acceleration. When I put t into gear, I have to lightly press the gas, otherwise the rpms will jump. If I push the gas to much the rpms spike, but if I let up on the gas, they will gradually drop, and once i find the 'sweet spot' it will start accelerating again. I assume its some type of transmission problem, but Im not sure. Its kinda hard to explain, but hopefully some one knows what i'm talking about

yeah, they should bring those things in on a recall. you shouldn't have to buy a clutch after only 12 years and 125k...c'mon guys! at 125k you did good. pony up for the clutch. BTW mine was $750 and they installed a squeak that took me a month to find and cure, so quit yer bitchin'.
