clutch start switch 2001 s10

I have a 2001 S10 with a 5 speed manual transmission. It has a no crank condition resulting from the clutch start switch not working properly. I have replaced the switch and it is doing it again after 1 month with the new switch. I have to get on the floor with the truck in neutral, and work the plunger of the switch while turning the key until it starts, sometime this works, but is not 100% reliable. Has anyone ran into this problem? Does anyone know how to maybe bypass the switch? I am not sure it is the switch, but all I hear is a clicking under the dash when I turn the key.
